THERAPEUTIC HORTICULTURE - MICROGREEN

What's In It For Me

The Purpose of Therapeutic Horticulture: It is introduced as a therapeutic practice for participants to relax, unwind, and slow down from fast-paced daily life.

Course Overview

Microgreens are young, edible plants harvested just after the first leaves develop. Though tiny in size, they are packed with nutrients, vibrant colors, and fresh flavors, making them a popular choice in both kitchens and wellness practices. Growing microgreens is simple yet rewarding, offering a hands-on way to connect with nature and understand the life cycle of plants.

By the end of the session, participants will not only take home their own tray of microgreens but also gain a deeper appreciation for the journey from seed to sprout, along with the satisfaction of cultivating something with their own hands.

This activity is designed to:

Help participants identify the origin of seeds and understand how they grow into nourishing greens.

Foster a sense of ownership by planting, watering, and nurturing microgreens, cultivating responsibility and joy in the process.

Spark creativity and mindfulness through arranging seeds, observing growth, and experimenting with flavors and uses.
